summer and all her riches!!!
meals i'm making, meals i've enjoyed out, things i'm enjoying, things i am disliking
i love living in berkeley but something i don’t always love is that it rarely feels like summer when i want it to really feel like summer. often, it’s a light 68 degrees when i am craving the sun, sometimes i want the sweaty armpits, the light sheen of sweat on the upper lip, the laying out a beach towel to suntan after swimming at the community pool, the restlessness that comes with the weather being hot and sticky, the warm balmy nights that make you want to do something impulsive and crazy, the appetite for only stone fruit and tomatoes and the desire to eat out more and cook less.
although we haven’t had a consistent string of warm summery days, i am still trying to eat like it’s a real true summer.
